The city of Akron, known as 'Rubber City,' is celebrated for its pivotal role in the rubber and tire industry during the early 1900s. In tribute to this legacy, Nike released the LeBron 13 ‘Rubber City’ back in 2016. This high-top shoe sports a snug, sock-like inner lining complemented by Hyperposite overlays on the upper. It also features a Zoom Air midsole and striking red speckled accents. A unique molecule symbol is showcased on the heel, a nod to the compounds involved in rubber creation.
