Description
Nike Air Max Triax 96 Doernbecher: A Unique Collaboration
The Nike Air Max Triax 96 Doernbecher (2019) emerges from the creative partnership with The OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital's Freestyle Program, empowering young patients like Bransen to craft their own Nike footwear designs.
This 2019 edition showcases Bransen's artistic vision in a striking red, white, blue, and black palette. The shoe's mesh and leather exterior narrates Bransen's medical journey while honoring his loved ones. Notably, the collar overlay features kidney images, symbolizing his transplant, and the distinct red and blue mismatched insoles display Nike's signature on the right and a heart-shaped "Family" on the left. Within the speckled white foam midsole, a red-tinted air cassette bears Bransen's nickname, Boom, which is echoed on the multicolored sole.
Personal Touches and Symbolism
Among the sneaker's standout elements is a bumblebee emblem on the upper, representing the 'B' members of Bransen’s family, including his sister Brielle, brother Benjamin, and pets Bosco and Bonnie. Released on December 7, 2019, the Nike Air Max Triax 96 Doernbecher retailed for $130.
