Massachusetts-based streetwear brand Concepts joined forces with New Balance for the impressive Concepts x 999 'The Kennedy' release in 2011.

Inspired by the Kennedy Family's Nautical Spirit

This design takes cues from the Kennedy family’s love of sailing at Hyannis Port. The shoe showcases a sophisticated maritime aesthetic, blending beige, grey, and tan pigskin suede on its upper, complemented by a sail-embossed nubuck on the heel counter. Additionally, it includes an Abzorb cushioning pad in the sole and features intricately designed nautical flags on the tongue and sockliner for an oceanic touch.
