New Balance 1600 Nice Kicks Grand Anse

A Coastal Collaboration

In 2014, the Texas-originated sneaker blog, Nice Kicks, collaborated with New Balance to introduce a special edition 1600 model known as the Grand Anse. This exclusive design draws inspiration from Grand Anse beach in Grenada, a place where Nice Kicks' founder, Matt Halfhill, once lived. The shoe features a combination of blue mesh and nubuck, mirroring the waters of Grand Anse. Grey leather overlays and a grey tongue evoke the distinct sea-washed gravel found at this beach. The multi-layered upper sits atop a white midsole enhanced with New Balance's Abzorb technology, incorporating blue highlights and finished with a blue rubber outsole.
