Nike has taken a significant step toward eco-friendly design with the introduction of the Nike Space Hippie 03 Healing Jade. This sneaker is crafted from 45% recycled materials by weight, showcasing the potential to create inventive footwear from waste.

Innovative Design and Construction

The upper part of the Nike Space Hippie 03 Healing Jade features Wolf Grey "Space Waste Yarn," a fabric composed of 85% recycled polyester sourced from bottles, clothing, and yarn fragments. Instead of the usual laces, it incorporates a FastFit tightening mechanism for quick and easy wear. Accents of Volt green adorn a textile strap crossing the forefoot, adding color to the heel and inner ankle. Vibrant Blue pull tabs on the forefoot and heel are embellished with the iconic Nike branding. The design concludes with a Healing Jade Crater Foam sole, made from a fusion of recycled foams known as Nike Grind.
